I wanted to share some exciting news, Matt and I decided to get a dog! Anyone who knows me, knows how dog obsessed I am. Even though I am so dog obsessed, it took a long time to find the perfect dog for us. We needed one that would fit in with our busy lives and be content in a suburban backyard, that meant no working dogs and no dogs that would bark. I was also adamant that I wanted to get a dog from a rescue or pound, pretty tough criteria right!?
One day I met up with my of my wonderful friends for a catchup lunch (she happens to be pretty dog-obsessed too haha!). Of course naturally our conversation goes towards dogs and I mentioned that I would LOVE to one day have an Irish Wolfhound. 2 days later she tagged me on facebook for a pound out in Mudgee who had an Irish Wolfhound Cross up for adoption. As soon as I saw the photo I fell in love with her. I immediately rang up and enquired about her, found out she ticked all our boxes and made the 3 hour trip to go see her (as well as bring treats for all the other dogs that were at the pound). It was love at first sight.
She settled in pretty much immediately and as cliche as it sounds we can’t imagine life without her. She sleeps a lot (which is great while I’m editing) but still loves to play and be a goofball (which you can see from the photos below). She was definitely worth the wait!
If you would love a Blue Mountains Pet Photography Session with your pooch, get in touch, I would love to hear from you!
*We started to play this game where I would hold the camera above her, click the shutter and she would then run away, hence the craziness of the above 4 photos, cheeky little bugger haha!
